1- Our legal information and assistance services

Refugee Rights Turkey offers free of charge legal counselling and assistance services to refugees and asylum seekers in Turkey. Our services are directed at both refugees from Syria and asylum seekers from other countries of origin as well as persons in immigration detention.

Where ever you may be in Turkey, you are welcome to get in touch with us or visit our office in Istanbul, all week days from 09.30 am to 17.30 pm, in relation with any questions you may have regarding your rights and obligations or any problems you may have encountered with migration and asylum procedures in Turkey.

If you are being held in a detention facility, or if you are a friend or family member seeking to assist a detained individual, you are advised to call our dedicated Detention Hotline and Helpdesk.

If you are interested to learn more about your rights and obligations in Turkey, you can consult our legal information booklets and videos on different topics, available in multiple languages. Our legal information materials cover a comprehensive range of topics, offering detailed guidance on rights and obligations applicable to both refugees from Syria subject to “temporary protection” policy and asylum seekers from other countries of origin subject to the “international protection” procedure administered by Directorate General of Migration Management (Göç İdaresi Genel Müdürlüğü).

3- Our new web-based “Information Portal for Refugees in Turkey”

Our new web-based “Information Portal for Refugees in Turkey” offers a comprehensive range of legal information materials, including videos and other visual tools, to asylum seekers and refugees in Turkey. It can be browsed in Arabic, Farsi, Turkish, English, Somali and Russian and covers rights and obligations on a range of topics for both refugees from Syria and asylum seekers from other countries of origin.

4- Refugee Rights Turkey Ethics and Professionalism Principles

Refugee Rights Turkey’s Ethics and Professionalism Principles and Feedback and Complaint Mechanism have been established in order to outline the responsibilities of RRT towards all stakeholders with whom it interacts during its activities, especially its beneficiaries, and to determine the code of conduct that staff must comply with in order to avoid any kind of misconduct.
